Essence
The foundations of most nations are steeped in human blood, and harm.
Within them, few major changes occur without the spillage of more human blood, and added harm.
Some argue that this is the nature of the process of Man’s colonisation of Planet Earth, but it could all become considerably worse.
Within Nature, the primary decider of population numbers for any given species is usually the level of available energy.
A difference for Man is that it is determined by available water also, which is controllable.
So too is there control over the availability of ‘mechanical’ energy, albeit their sources and applications are fraught with dangers and complications.
To a degree, the sources and applications of ‘food’ energy are also within the control of Man, in particular by the manipulations of science.
The primary by-product of human activity that is not yet contained is humanly-inspired harm, which is out of control.
All forms of population versus energy considerations require wise decisions, but human harm is the most pressing and least contained.
It also demands the wisest choices, if Man is to thrive viably.

Overview
Whether recorded accurately, or not, it is undoubted the history of Man has been trouble-torn, aggressive, violent, blood-soaked, needlessly harmful, and costly to Life.
Whatever else may be contained, or controlled, there is no evidence that human harm is at an end.
More importantly, the majority of it is needless, avoidable, and with the necessary knowledge to contain it well known by specialist expertise.
What is missing is the imperative from Leadership down to implement the essential changes, often because of partiality and vested interests.
The outcome is the continuation of appalling levels of needless harm, with the wider population denied the essential understandings to contain it.
